Virtual Dementia Tour: Experience and Discussion

About:  The Virtual Dementia Tour is a powerful and life changing sensory simulation that mimics what it feels like to have dementia. Participants will have the opportunity to go through the tour and then meet with a Dementia Care Specialist to unpackage some of the thoughts and feelings that accompany the experience. 

The program covers dementia education as well as some practical communication skills. It will provide participants with a better understanding of the common experiences held by People Living With Dementia (PLWD), to better shape our approaches and interventions.

What to know/bring: This program will be up to 90 minutes in duration. You will either go through the tour during the 10-11 a.m. timeframe, and participate in the debrief from 11-11:30 or participate in the tour from 11:30-12:30, and participate in the debrief from 12:30-1:00 p.m.
